A 10K3A1 temperature sensor is a 10 kΩ NTC thermistor commonly used in HVAC/BMS applications. The designation generally refers to the 10K Type 3 / 3A1 thermistor curve.
What is a 4-20 mA current loop?
The current loop is a common method of transmitting sensor information in many industrial process monitoring applications—typically in systems monitoring pressure, temperature, pH, flow, or other physical factors. These systems employ a two-wire current loop, in which a single twisted-pair cable supplies power to a transmitter and also carries the output signal.
Convert 4-20 mA to 0-10V
All iSMA Universal Inputs cannot read a 4-20mA signal directly, so to read a 4-20mA sensor, you will find in the box of every iSMA device (with Universal Inputs) a set of 200 Ohm resistors.
It is extremely simple to measure a 0-20 mA analogue signal from a sensor with a JACE that will measure only voltage inputs.
