A highly used solution for installing direct short temperature sensors is to use a brass nipple with, for example, R1/2 thread, which is installed in a corresponding T-piece. For cone-shaped nipples, use packing cord or Teflon tape to achieve the required seal, while straight-threaded nipples typically use a copper gasket.
